Sessions
We offer full or half day sessions every Monday to Friday, with the exception of statutory holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year, when the nurseries are closed. Refreshments are provided in each session: morning and full day sessions include a hot lunch. Vegetarian meals are available on request. Subject to demand, we also offer an 'Early Birds Club', starting at 7 a.m. and aimed particularly at commuting parents. Other sessions may be available by arrangement.

Registering your child
You may secure a place on our waiting list by completing a registration form. We charge a fee of £35 on registration, but we will refund this if you withdraw the registration before we make a firm offer of a place. We will not normally accept registrations for fewer than two half day sessions per week.

As soon as we are able to offer your child a place, we will write to you with details. You must let us know, in writing, within two weeks, whether you wish to accept the offer. Your acceptance must be accompanied by a detailed enrolment form and a deposit of two weeks' fees (subject to a maximum of £200), which will be refunded when your child leaves the nursery, provided adequate notice has been given and there are no arrears of fees.

We require parents to inform us of any court orders or other matters affecting access rights to their children.

Fees are charged on a monthly basis according to the number of sessions booked in each month. The first month's fees must be paid before your child starts at the nursery. Thereafter, fees are payable monthly in advance, (for parents paying by direct debit, these are collected on or around the 5th of that month). In order to keep fees as low as possible, this policy is strictly enforced. We strongly encourage parents to pay by direct debit.

Special registration arrangements may apply for staff employed at schools or campuses where our nurseries are situated. Please ask for details.

Notice
Four weeks' notice must be given to cancel a confirmed booking, to withdraw a child or to reduce the number of sessions; full fees are payable during the period of notice, whether the child attends or not. We reserve the right to withdraw a place at any time if we consider that this is in the interests of other children or of the nursery. This will be treated as a withdrawal for which no notice has been given.

Collection
Parents are asked to respect safety by driving slowly at all times in the vicinity of the nursery.

Please note that, at Saffron Walden County High School, our agreement with the school restricts vehicle access to the nursery (other than in emergencies) between 0815-0845 and 1430-1530 on weekdays during the school term.

Late collection of children can distress them, and it causes considerable problems to us and to the staff, because we are obliged to operate to strict staffing ratios. We realise that problems will sometimes arise, but we reserve the right to charge an additional £5 per 15 minutes if we consider that late collection is becoming a habit.

Other matters
All children joining the nursery for the first time will receive a free Crocus 'welcome pack' during their first week, consisting (as appropriate) of a tee-shirt, hat, high-visibility vest and drawstring bag. Replacements and other accessories are available for purchase at very reasonable cost.

We reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time.
